As you can see my lack of attention right now to Nites and Weekends is a direct result of my love of Nites and Weekends with my Wife and Daughter. Fill in a move across the state new jab (ha 18 months ago) and you can just call me a slacker.
I hereby commit to post more good stuff often. I’m going to be adding some friends to the mix as well.
Eat, drink and play. Above all don’t work too hard.
So just had lunch in at work from Roast Sandwich House in Melville. I had the TUSCAN ROAST CHICKEN sandwich with Prosciutto, Oven Dried Tomato, Mozzarella, and Fresh Herb Ricotta Spread on Flatbread and the best SWEET POTATO TATER TOTS!!!!!!
So today Mariah Tess and I took a little trip out to the Hamptons for a bit of a early Mother’s day foodie fest. Glamorous as that sounds East Hampton is about 30 miles from home so it’s a nice little trip.
We started the day at Dressen’s for some still warm donuts. They were really good. Alec Baldwin says so. But really they were light and not too sweet. They reminded me of a funnel cake from a festival or fair only a bit richer. Here’s their site http://www.dreesens.com/ We tried both the plain and the cinnamon and sugar. Tess even had a little bit o’ donut too.
Next stop Loaves and Fishes in Sagaponack. This was easier said than done though…….
